Privacy Statement – the HEMA Foundation
This Privacy Statement provides information on how the HEMA Foundation uses your personal data. At the HEMA Foundation, we consider it very important that data from participants, volunteers, supporters and donors are processed and protected with the utmost care.
This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of personal information (“Personal Data”) provided by participants, volunteers, supporters and donors along with data obtained from visits to and from the use of the website of the HEMA Foundation. We consider it important that you know exactly what Personal Data the HEMA Foundation is collecting and for what purposes this Personal Data is being used. We provide a comprehensive response to these points in this Privacy Statement. The HEMA Foundation supports the collection, use and disposal of Personal Data in a manner that is both careful and in accordance with the laws and regulations that apply.
Data you provide is captured on the HEMA Foundation website if you become a donor or participate in one of our promotions through one of the forms or if you have contact with us in another manner, become a donor, submit a complaint or participate in a design competition. This is also the case if you register to receive the newsletter, request information, make an enquiry about our activities, ask a question or respond to our website or social media or get in touch with us in another way. The overview below shows the purposes for which the HEMA Foundation collects and processes personal data.
Providing your email address to the HEMA Foundation means you will be kept up to date by email on the activities of the HEMA Foundation. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
Right of access
You can use your right of access to your personal data processed by the HEMA Foundation by submitting a written request. The HEMA Foundation will respond to this request within four weeks. If it transpires that your personal data contains inaccuracies, you may have this data changed. You may also have data deleted. You can find our address under the ‘Contact’ heading.
When using the Ootje app, we collect a unique identifier of your device with Google Analytics for Firebase for analysis purposes (Google Advertising ID on Android devices or the Advertising Identifier on iOS devices). You can determine how this identifier is used via the settings of your device, including the option to reset it. Protecting your data
The HEMA Foundation ensures that your data is secure in a number of different ways. Firstly, we have a protected database (the system in which personal data is secured) and server. Secondly, only employees whose role authorises them to process personal data are permitted access to the database. In this way, we can guarantee the safety of your data.
Personal data are stored for no longer than necessary. The HEMA Foundation removes personal data after six months unless the data are still required for the purpose for which they are collected or used.
